Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. When she was just five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and attended her first Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become a professional actor since she was at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy with part-time courses. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach or school shows by the time she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was found by agents via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. After eight auditions consistently, the producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected to play the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first film appearance was made with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The highest-grossing movie of 2001, the film set records for its debut day opening and the opening weekend's earnings. The film was praised by critics, as were the performance of three new stars. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her outstanding performance. Emma's performance was nominated and was awarded five awards in the film.
